The INSTANT portal is currently going through customization under the ‘Strengthening Last-Mile Communication in South Asia’ project supported by United States Agency for International Development (USAID) through University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR).

The portal was initially developed under the 'Disaster Risk Management in Cox's Bazar' project of UNDP, supported by Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), European Union Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid (ECHO), Government of Japan and the Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM) of the U.S. State Department with technical support from Regional Integrated Multi-Hazard Early Warning System (RIMES) in collaboration with Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD). Further collaboration was made with BRAC, supported by DFAT to incorporate Risk and Resilience information into the portal.
